Christiansburg Navy Extends Winning Streak

Christiansburg's Navy Senior League football team beat Pearisburg by a score of 29-0 on Tuesday night at Giles High School .
The Demons scored on the second play of the game on a 50 yard run by fullback Gabe Quesenberry. The point after was good on a pass from McKenzie Muldoon to Ryan Saunders and the Demons led 7-0.
Pearisburg ground out three first downs on their first possession. The Demons defense stiffened forcing Pearisburg to turn the ball over on downs at the Demon 15 yard line.
In the second quarter, Quesenberry scored again on a 65 yard run and his two point conversion kick would put the Demons on top at the half 15-0.
Early in the third quarter, Jake Hamley scored for the Demons on a 30 yard run around the right end to make the score 21-0.
Halfway through the fourth quarter, Simeon Brown would take the ball around the right end and tallied on a 25 yard run/ Jake Hamley would then add the two point conversion kick to make the score 29-0.
Outstanding blocking up front by guards Seth Wills, Logan Adkins, center Dylan Scott, tackles Logan Howell and Haze Profitt would provide the Demon backfield with plenty of room to run throughout the contest The shutout was the fifth of the season for Christiansburg's defense. Seth Wills paced the team in tackles. Supporting the defense with strong games were Kyle Delaney, Cantley Krafft and Tanner Reed. Christiansburg, which saw its record improve to 8-0 will host Pembroke at Christiansburg on Saturday.
